Our story
Belizean cooking, unhurried, and always from scratch.
Happy Ranch started as a roadside stop between towns — a palapa, a comal and a stack of tortillas. Years later it's still the same idea: a small kitchen making a small menu, honest to the countryside around it.

The room
An open-air palapa with string lights, an air-conditioned dining room for afternoons that get too warm, and a wraparound bar where you can watch the tortillas hit the comal.
We seat parties of two to twelve without a reservation, but call ahead if you're a big group so we can pull the tables together and get the grill going.
The kitchen
Two cooks, a comal, a grill and a press. Beans start dry the day before. Salsas are chopped in the morning. Watermelons get halved and pressed when you order.
It's why guests keep coming back — and why, on a busy night, you'll wait a little longer for something worth waiting for.
